Everyone who has a bracelet and credits uploaded onto it, can request a refund of the unspent balance. Be aware that free credits are non-refundable (staff, extra value of Klingeling presale, …).

Important: Remember to keep your bracelet with you when you leave the festival. You will need the QR-code on the back to claim your online refund. If you take no action, your leftover Klingeling will be donated to the Waking Life Landcare Project.

How do I recover unspent balance?
Click here for online refunds. You can apply for a refund for 2 weeks, between June 27, 00:01 and July 11, 23:59. The refund will be paid back after the refund period is finished, between July 15 and July 31.

Steps to claim your refund:

– Go to waking-life.anykrowd.app
– Sign in with your email address or create a new account
– Once logged in, click on ‘RFID’
– Scan the QR code on your wristband
– Your wristband is now linked to your account
– Click on ‘Manage Wallet’
– Select the currency that holds value by clicking the right arrows
– Click ‘Refund’

Note that you’ll need a European or UK IBAN account to request a refund. If you don’t have one, you can create one for free through platforms such as Wise or Revolut.

Why does your refund page show a balance lower than what was remaining at the end of the festival?
The refund system will automatically calculate the correct refundable balance. The money that you received as a gift cannot be refunded (crew, artists, volunteers, …).

The refund period has passed, can I still get a refund?
The duration of the refund period is from June 27, 00:01 until July 11, 23:59. If you try to get a refund outside this window, it won’t work.

I’ve given incorrect bank details
Send an email with your bank details and your bracelet number to cashless@wakinglife.pt (within the deadline) and we’ll adjust the details for you.

Why do I have to pay a transaction fee to regain my refund?
The transaction fee is a banking/processing fee established by the event to cover the transaction cost to get the money back into your account. The transaction fee is €1.
